Coginiti 25.2 Release Notes

We’re thrilled to announce the latest updates in Coginiti 25.2! This release brings powerful new features, expanded capabilities, and performance enhancements to help your team work smarter and faster.  

New Features and Enhancements

SQL Linter

Coginiti now includes a powerful built-in SQL linter that performs real-time interactive checks on catalog assets and SQL/CoginitiScript code. The linter helps enforce best practices and maintain code consistency by detecting potential issues and offering suggestions for improvement.

Supported Platforms:

  • Amazon Redshift
  • Google BigQuery
  • Snowflake
  • PostgreSQL

Key Features:

  • Detects common SQL issues and enforces best practices.
  • Configurable via linter.toml files or in-file comments.
  • Supports aliasing, structure, and query optimization rules.

Hybrid Query Performance Improvements

We have made several enhancements to Hybrid Query performance, including:

  • Pending Query Queue: Enables users to queue queries while the system is processing existing workloads.
  • Abort Query: Allows users to cancel running queries to optimize resource usage and reduce wait times.

These improvements enhance query efficiency and provide greater control over execution.

Object Store Connection Templates

Administrators can now deploy shared connections to popular cloud storage services, including:

  • Amazon S3
  • Azure Blob Storage
  • Google Cloud Storage

This feature simplifies access management and ensures consistent configurations across teams.

AI Assistant Enhancements

Coginiti’s AI Assistant now supports additional foundation models, offering expanded AI-driven capabilities:

  • OpenAI GPT models: GPT-o-1, GPT-o3-mini, GPT-4.5
  • Google Gemini 2 family
  • Anthropic Claude 3.7

Deprecations:

  • Support for Claude 2 & Claude 2.1 has been deprecated.

Security and Bug Fixes

As always, this release includes several security remediations and routine bug fixes to enhance system stability and security.


Upgrade Notes

  • Users leveraging AI Assistant with deprecated Claude models should update their configurations to use supported models.
  • SQL Linter is enabled by default; users can customize configurations via linter.toml files or in-file comments.
  • Hybrid Query users should explore the new Pending Query Queue and Abort Query features for improved performance.
