Writing SQL in Coginiti
What is Coginiti?
Coginiti is a data analysis platform that makes data analysis tasks easier and more productive. SQL professionals use Coginiti to interact with data across a wide variety of data platforms. Coginiti users can save queries, refine them, share them, and run them on different databases.
Step 1: Download & Install Coginiti Pro
Click the “Try Free” button on the Coginiti Pro product page, then select your operating system. Coginiti Pro is available for both Windows and MacOS.
Step 2: Register Coginiti Pro
When you run Coginiti Pro for the first time, you will receive an email with your 30-day trial license key for product activation. You’ll need to apply this license key to unlock Coginiti.
Step 3: Connect Coginiti to a Supported Database to get started
To start practicing SQL you will need to be able to connect to a database.
Coginiti offers native support for many database platforms, including Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, IBM DB2, Greenplum, Apache Hive, Netezza, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and Yellowbrick. You can also connect to other databases through our Generic JDBC connection, just bring your the driver for the database to which you would like to connect.
Here’s how to create a new database connection in Coginiti Pro:
- Go to File > Edit Connections
- Select your Database platform
- Enter your connection details, then click Test, then Save
